Introduction
My name is Evelyne - a French-born artist raised under Africa's vibrant skies, weaving my nomadic journey into abstract art. My paintings pulse with the memories of Madagascar's spice markets, Montenegro's coastal blues, and Puerto Rico's tropical hues, distilled into bold, textured compositions.
After successful exhibits in Antwerpen and Brussels that saw my floral abstractions celebrated for their "explosive chromatic energy", I paused to raise twin boys and explore other passions—practicing piano nocturnes, teaching French and perfecting the art of baking.
Now settled in Charleston, I've returned to my first love with renewed devotion. My latest collection explores my enduring fascinations—floral explosions in riotous color, dreamlike houses stacked like childhood memories, and nature abstracted into its purest rhythmic forms. What keeps me at the easel is the alchemy of color and texture—the way thick impasto can hold sunlight, how a single brushstroke can vibrate with life.
